Hobnob FAQ's

You’ve Got Questions, We’ve Got Answers

To start using the services at Hobnob Pet you must complete the following:

  • Fill out the first time registration form  including vaccinations.
  • Submit your dog(s) updated vaccinations (Bordetella, Rabies and DPP) to our email va*@*******et.com
  • Dog(s) must complete a trial day of daycare.  Give us a call and we can schedule an intro session.
Daycare Policy:

Puppies: Puppies are welcome once they’ve received their second round of vaccines and have been with your household for at least 30 days.

Unspayed Females: Unspayed females can attend daycare until 6 months old. After 6 months, they can only participate in daycare if they are not in heat. If they go into heat during their stay, they must be removed immediately, and their parents will be called for pickup.

Unneutered Males: Unneutered males can attend daycare until they turn 6 months old. After that, they must be neutered to continue attending daycare. If their hormones become disruptive before 6 months, we may dismiss them early for the safety of them and the other dogs.

Hotel (Boarding) Policy:

Puppies: Puppies are welcome to board as long as they meet the vaccine and household requirements (second round of vaccines and at least 30 days with your family).

Unspayed Females: Unspayed females may board with us until they are 6 months old. After that, they can no longer board until they are spayed.

Unneutered Males: Unneutered males can board with us until 6 months old. After that, they must be neutered to continue boarding.

Swimming Policy:

General Swimming Rule: Puppies must be fully vaccinated to swim, which is typically around 4 months of age. However, we recommend using your best judgment depending on the size and breed of the dog.

Smaller Breeds: Smaller puppies, like Maltese, may not be suitable for swimming at 4 months.

Larger Breeds: Larger puppies, like Labs, may be ready for swimming at 4 months.

Vaccination & Health Requirements

For the safety and health of all our guests, please provide proof, by up-to date written records, for the following vaccinations:

  • DPP (Distemper, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza): 1 or 3 year vaccine required
  • Bordetella: 6 months or 1 year vaccine required
  • Rabies: 1 or 3 year vaccine required

We do not accept home vaccination. Vaccines must be administered at least 48 hours before arrival under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. We prefer your pet be vaccinated 10 days prior to check-in. Written proof is required prior to check-in for day-care, the hotel or drop-in pool guests. Thank you.

Submit your dog(s) up to date vaccination records (Bordetella, Rabies and DPP) to our email [email protected]

If your pet is over 6 months, we do require them to be spayed or neutered.

Please let Hobnob know of any special behavioral pattern, medication or diet needs of your dog.

In addition your pet must be healthy and be free from fleas, ticks and any communicable disease.

While most breeds are welcome, some tend to thrive better than others in a daycare setting. Give us a call, and we’ll be happy to discuss whether we think your dog will be a good fit!

Hobnob does not charge extra to give food or medications supplied by the dog’s owner.  Hobnob does not administer injectables or medications that pose a high medical risk.

Hobnob separates dogs by size and temperament. For the safety of all our pups we cannot guarantee multiple dogs from the same household will be able to play in the same area.

Some dogs are more dogs-oriented than dog-oriented, and that’s ok! Fortunately, we have a lot of dog-oriented dogs here so your dog doesn’t have to play with other dogs to have a great day.. We have plenty of staff who are happy to give your dog individual attention and make sure they have a fun, engaging experience. As long as your dog isn’t aggressive toward others, they’ll be able to enjoy their day and come home tired and happy.

Yes, Hobnob has webcams so you can watch your dog play throughout the day.

If your dog experiences a medical emergency while in our care, our staff is trained and prepared to transport your dog to the nearest emergency vet. You will also be contacted immediately and kept informed. Should you not be reachable, our staff will make decisions with your dog’s best interest in mind.

For other types of emergencies, we follow standard fire evacuation protocols to ensure everyone’s safety and the facility is equipped with both fire alarms and security alarms for added protection.

Yes! Just please let us know at drop off/beforehand so we can add the other person to your dogs pick up list or your emergency contacts.

Yes, all play groups are closely supervised! We maintain a maximum ratio of 15 dogs to 1 human, though depending on the energy level of the group, there may be fewer dogs per staff member to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

A typical day at daycare is filled with fun and play! Dogs will be in their play group from drop-off to pick-up, unless they need a break for rest or to manage any behavioral concerns. We also offer an optional lunch/naptime from noon to 2 PM. Our staff ensures that each dog has plenty of socialization and interaction, while also giving them the rest they need to have a great day.
